Germain Mbatchou received a Diploma in Process Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and an MBA from the University of Applied Sciences Münster.
As a Process Engineer at Bilfinger Industrial Services, he delivered end-to-end gas treatment solutions for international energy clients, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.
He led the development of biogas upgrading systems with a focus on CO₂ capture, contributing to clients' decarbonization strategies and asset value optimization. He also acted as Project Manager for field operations, becoming a subject-matter specialist in gas desulphurization plants, and supported natural gas dehydration facilities for underground storage operations.
With commissioning and operational experience across Eastern and Western Europe, and previous roles as Operator Engineer at ENGIE and Neptune Energy, he combined hands-on operational insight with project execution excellence — enabling reliable start-ups, reduced risk, and efficient plant operation.
He further conducted operability and performance improvement studies and supported the optimization of operation and maintenance strategies, complementing his technical expertise with his MBA to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
